What To Bring

If you are are coming on a Scenic Rivers Guide Service trip here are a few things that will make your experience even better as you explore Ozark Riverways either on the river or on an Eco-Tour. • Dress for the weather. Ozark weather can be changeable, even from one valley or "holler" to the next. We try to be prepared for our guests' comfort, but you can help by bringing these items: • A large-brimmed hat • Sunscreen. The sun can be deceptive on the water. • Insect spray. We do have mosquitos, ticks and chiggers. (Sorry about that.)
• A water resistant wind jacket, raincoat or warm when wet shirt.• A pair of river shoes. These rivers are *not* sandy! • A spare pair of shorts or pants. If you are around the water, you are likely to get wet to your knees at least. • Soft drinks of your choice. We furnish bottled water. • A waterproof case and leash for your phone or a camera. Phone coverage is spotty in the area, but you will want to take pictures! ° A sense of humor and flexibility. We WILL NOT put on the river if the Park Service closes it because of high water, but there is always something to see and do in the Scenic Rivers Region.
